Myths
The Fae are magical and immortal forest creatures that are recognized by their musical and playful nature. They are known to be dainty and graceful, and each Fae has the remarkable ability to shrink its size according to its own will. They are colourful and beautiful creatures known to dress in flowers and leaves, and most wear light wings that sparkle under the sun. Not many have been discovered at a time--the Fae are experts at blending into their surroundings, and their natural love of solitude keeps them from much communication.
Many believe that the Fae have existed long before even the Elves and Vampires, and that the very first was born from the bark of the first tree. It is rumored that the siren song of a Fae can turn even the strongest man off his path.
Attributes
Fae all have the the ability of Flight.
Powers
A Fae is capable of four of the following:
Natural Magic - The ability to use magic according to the will and gift of nature. This includes healing, poisons, minor elemental damage, and charms.
Wiser Magic - The ability to use a more book learned magic, beyond that given by nature. Less natural magic ability is required. This includes offensive elemental magic, summoning, and potion making.
Natural Resistance - The ability to resist all poisons and normally unbearable temperature changes (except for heat and darkness)
Telepathy - The ability to communicate to another solely by use of the mind, with complete lack of use for any verbal communication.
Telekinesis - The ability to move and altar things using only the power of mind and will.
Stealth - The ability to keep well hidden and preserved with its surroundings.
Heightened Senses - The ability to be more aware of its surroundings than other creatures.
Animate Shape Shifting - The ability to temporarily change its shape to that of an animate object
Inanimate Shape Shifting - The ability to change its shape to that of an inanimate object
Animal Speech - The ability to verbally communicate with any animal.
Crafting - The ability to construct and create items using available and provided materials.
Weakness
Every Fae is deathly weak against Fire, and can be easily harmed by any weapon of Metal. Darkness, as in the lack of natural light, decreases the willpower and strength of every Fae.
Occupation
Not of the social or civilized world, the Fae have created their own system to determine what type of Fae they be:
Leaf-Dancer - A Fae that merely dances and makes music in the forest for any passing creature to hear and experience. Tree-Guide - A Fae that anonymously helps or leads those that have gotten lost in the forest. Cure-Sharer - A Fae that provides aid to any nearby that suffers (Must have either Natural or Wiser Magic). Flower-Pusher - A Fae that simply sprouts flowers wherever it sees proper. Song-Sender - A Fae that follows travellers while constantly singing. Prank-Seeder - A Fae that pulls constant pranks on unsuspecting creatures. Animal-Taker - A fae that specializes in the care of animals (Must have Animal Speech). Craft-Maker - A Fae that specializes in the crafting of tools and objects (Must have Crafting).
